So, the system tells me what I need to work on, but I haven’t necessarily worked on it. This reason for this has less to do with the product and more to do with the fact that I am not taking the data it is giving me into any practice sessions, because I don’t really practice. On the other hand, I don’t think it is directly helping my game. On one hand I see how it could help your game because it provides clear feedback on gaps in your game. From a GPS standpoint there isn’t a whole lot of difference between a 2 foot putt and a 4 foot putt and I find the distances a bit off, meaning the analysis of my putting is a bit off. The one area it is not great at is on the greens. Does it grossly over or under estimate my shot length or location, not at all. Does it require me to make a few edits after each round, yes. I have used Game Golf for about 15 rounds now and would say it is accurate, or at least as accurate as I need it to be. The good news is you can add and delete shots on the software pretty easily. If like me you don’t remember much of what you did in the last 30 seconds, you may end up with a fair amount of post round editing required. If you have decent memory recall, it shouldn’t be an issue. I say that because while it is easy to use, all you do is tap the end of your club to the unit on your belt, it requires you to remember to do it or remember if you already did it. You are able to review each shot and correct any errors (shots that it determined where in fairway when they were actually in the rough, or adding shots you forgot to tag, removing shots you tagged by accident). When you play a round, you turn on the device, wait for it to find the satellite (normally less than a minute) and then you tag each shot by taping the senor to the unit, which then records the shot.Īfter your round, you plug the main unit into your computer, which uploads the round. The software does have to install on the computer, but the data is uploaded to the web and accessible anywhere, including through the smart phone app. The sensor screws into the end of your grip.īefore using the system you hook it up to your computer, run the software and assign each sensor to a specific club. The system consists of a central unit that you clip to your belt, pants, shirt, etc and a sensor for each club. Game Golf Classic does not provide you any in round feedback, whereas Game Golf Live links to a smart phone app that provides real time data. The system tracks distance as well as accuracy (left, right, straight). Game Golf is a golf stats tracking program that allows you to track every shot in the bag and then compare the data from one round to the next, over all rounds and even against different handicap ranges. There are of course other products in the market that compete with Game Golf, the most notable being Arccos Golf. ![]() Game Golf Classic is the first version of Game Golf that came out in 2014 (I think) and has since been surpassed by Games Golf Live, which is Game Golf Classic with Bluetooth capabilities and the soon to be released Game Golf Pro, which looks to remove the need to tag each shot. I would like to think she knew me that well, but in reality, I pointed her in the direction. For Christmas my mom got me Game Golf Classic from SportChek.
